I'm so glad it's Friday. :) I have a 3 day weekend coming up, but that's only because I have to work next Saturday, but at least it works out for Paul and me....he's off this weekend, as well. Yay! Tomorrow, we're going to go on the Jungle River Boat cruise with Emie and her family. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope to take lots of pictures....rain or shine. :)

Speaking of rain, it appears that a little storm south of Guam has a fair chance of turning into a Typhoon, so Paul and I are starting to make a few preparations just in case. We've already decided if there is a Typhoon, we'll be gaming. We'll just have to see what happens.

I've been really bad about reading lately. The last book I read was the autobiography of Gene Wilder; very good book. I've always liked him, and it was interesting to read about his life and his time with Gilda Radner (someone I've always loved). Currently, I'm reading Septimus Heap Book 2, Flyte. I'm hoping to get alot more read this weekend. I'm also reading the graphic novel One Piece.....we'll see how that goes.

Well, I guess I had better start getting ready for work......

Joanie....hot!
Well, it's finally Friday. Yay!!! I'm anxious for my 3 day weekend (I have to work next Saturday, so I'm off this coming Monday).

I finished reading Septimus Heap Book One, Magyk last night. I liked it. I also started and finished Owly; the two stories are The Way Home and The Bittersweet Summer. Next on my agenda to read is Wicked. I got that yesterday at the library through an inter-library loan. So, since it doesn't belong to our library, I'll have to read it before the other books I have. It will have to go back to the other library (I believe in Japan) in a month.......which should be more than enough time for me to read it.

Well, time to get ready for work.

It's only the 2nd day of the work week and I'm already soooooo ready for the weekend. It's going to be a crazy week this week as well....gotta love exercises! Like I said.....so ready for the weekend.

Not much else has been going on. I'm still reading the Septimus Heap book.....and I hope to be done with it by the end of the week. I spent about an hour or so reading last night. I hope to get that much done or more done tonight.

After work today we are heading down to Big Navy to get a new TV. :) We have been wanting and needing one for about a year now, so since we have our Tax return money we decided to do that this year. I'm looking forward to getting it. I'm not sure if we'll pick it up tonight or have it delivered to the house.

We watched Van Helsing the other night. I was disappointed. About the last 20 minutes of the movie sucked.....in my opinion. Oh well.......

It's about time for me to get ready for work........Later!!

Instead of going back to bed when Paul left for work this morning, I decided to make a decent dent in the book I started reading a couple of weeks ago. I'm not officially about 1/3 of the way through. The story is really picking up. Oh yeah....I'm reading Magick, Book One by Angie Sage.

I'm also procrastinating about going to work. I don't have to be in until 11 today. I'm not thrilled about it, but oh well.

Paul just called. He has gotten stung twice by a Boonie Bee while doing the yard. This last time one of his lymph nodes swole up. The doc told him to be careful because if he gets stung again it could be bad.....as in bad reaction to the sting and I"ll have to take him to the hospital. I hope he doesn't get stung again. And he reminded me that I need to pick up some meds from the pharmacy. I forgot to go back and get the cortizone that the doc prescribed on Monday.

Well, must get going now.........

blah, blah, blah

I haven't got much to talk about. Life is pretty boring and work it really picking up. I have a ton of stuff to do at work.....complete some records management training, overdues, Women's History Month pamphlet and the regular duties for the circ desk. I'm ready for the weekend and Tuesday hasn't even started yet....isn't that sad?? Oh well.

Last Friday night Paul and I went to see Last Holiday with Queen Latifah. It was a really good movie. I liked the story and what it was saying; basically don't live your life in a box, don't live with possibilities......LIVE! I hope that makes sense.

We also finished watching Firefly! Why, oh why did they cancel this show??? It was such a great show.

I haven't done much reading over the last week and that's pretty sad. I have like 2 books that are due back to the library and I haven't even cracked the 2nd one yet. Maybe I'll get to reading some this evening. I really like the one I started a little over a week ago. The next one is a book about Gene Wilder.

Well, I guess I should start getting ready for my day.

Paul and I got a later start to the day than we normally do. I made us breakfast tacos, and then we got ready to head down to Big Navy to do a little shopping. Unfortunately we never made it down there since the police had Marine 1 blocked; we'll just go tomorrow. We did go to KMart and I got some new shoes (something I've needed for quite some time) and then headed home. I'm off tomorrow, so after we drop Paul's truck at the shop we'll head down to Big Navy and so some shopping. Oh yeah.....I almost forgot....I was finally able to pick up Season 4 of Gilmore Girls!

Books I've read so far this year (2006):
Find Me by Rosie O'Donnell
The Second Summer of the Sisterhood by Ann Brashares
Girls In Pants: The Third Summer of the Sisterhood by Ann Brashares

We watched Mean Girls last night. I really liked it.....so did Paul.....so I guess we'll be buying the DVD eventually.

Time to watch The L Word........

It was nice at work today. The patronage is back to normal....and I actually got some work done! Yay! Tomorrow is going to be crazy for me though......Paul has to go to PT, so I'll be a little late getting to work, then at 2.20 I have a 'sexual assault briefing' to attend. From what I've been hearing.....it's boring and it's like 1.5 hours long! I'm not looking forward to it. Oh well. At least I'm off this weekend.

Paul and I finished watching The Maltese Falcon tonight. Great film! I think this is my favorite Humphrey Bogart film to date. Okay.....I've only seen three of his films, but of those three.....this is my favorite. I hope to watch Gentleman Prefer Blondes, Beauty Shop, My Name Is Modesty, and Alexandera's Project this weekend.

I finally finished reading The Second Summer Of The Sisterhood yesterday. I got the 3rd book from the library yesterday, so I'll probably start that one tonight. Then, after that one it will be a book called Septimus Heap Magick Book One; my boss said it was a cute book. I'm really trying to get back into reading. I used to read all the time, but it has dropped off tremdously over the last 10 years or so. I still have 2 books on my bookshelf I want to read.....no telling when I'll get around to them though.

Well, I'm getting tired, so I'd better at least start the book.............
